Avenue of Lights
  • ABOUT US

A word about us…

When the semi carrying fourteen new displays pulled up at the front gate on Tuesday prior to our Thanksgiving opening.  I held little hope that we would be able to install them in time, but Bob, John, George and the Clayton Work Camp Crew pulled it off!  Set up for this event was enormous even before the new displays were delivered.  Each year the set-up crew begins earlier and earlier to erect ELEVEN semis full of displays filling every corner of Wavering-Moorman Park.

As you enjoy the intricate details of the beautiful new Sphere Tree, the massive Globe and TWELVE Days of Christmas!  Drive slowly to catch all the animated action of more than 150 displays along the two-mile loop, pass through three animated tunnels, sing along with an amazing Matrix Board displaying Christmas tunes, forty trees and arches dancing to the Christmas beat.  Old Man Winter blowing a beautiful white blanket across the Park and see the area’s tallest Christmas Tree towering 50 feet in the air.  Several other new surprises will join everyone’s favorite Scottie the Skating Caterpillar.

The Avenue of Lights also welcomes our latest sponsor, Trinity Container, who joins our family of financial supporters.  The financial assistance of these fine businesses allows the Avenue of Lights to bring you the biggest, brightest and best Christmas light display in the Tri-State area.

For the 16th time, it is our honor to thank the many individuals who have given their time, talents and financial support, but no one is more important to our success than you, our guests, who have helped grow the Avenue of Lights into the bright, magical holiday tradition it is today!

Whether you’ve been our guest in past years or you’re making the breathtaking drive for the first time, create a wonderful Christmas memory for your entire family this year at the Avenue of Lights.

Open nightly in Moorman-Wavering Park from 6-9:30, Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s. Admission is $9 per vehicle. No vehicles larger than 15 passenger vans will be permitted to avoid damage to park roads.
